Access to quality education begins with a safe, well-built place to learn. The Himalayan Sherpa Family Trust supports the construction and renovation of school facilities in remote Himalayan communities — ensuring that geography is never a barrier to learning.

Our Approach

Each school project is developed in close collaboration with local communities, school management committees, and international partner organisations. We prioritise earthquake-resistant construction methods appropriate for the high Himalayan environment.

International Partnership

Several school projects have been realised through collaboration with international volunteers and supporters — combining local knowledge and community labour with international funding and technical expertise. This partnership model ensures sustainability and local ownership.

Impact

Completed school buildings provide hundreds of children with a safe, weather-proof environment in which to study — replacing crumbling or unsafe structures that put students and teachers at risk.
